Dr Abdullahi Shehu

Chairman Trustee Committee

Dr Abdullah Shehu is a Consultant Neurologist at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust / Honorary Lecturer Warwick University Medical School and has been in clinical management for the past twelve years including being a Divisional Medical Director for Specialist Services. He also served as the Chairman of Muslim Doctors and Dentist Association UK as well as Chairman of the Health/Medical Committee of the Muslim Council of Britain for two terms. He is the Chairman of Coventry Muslim Forum which is an umbrella organisation of Masjids and Muslim organisations in Coventry. He is a Trustee of Medical and Life Research Fund for Warwick University. Dr Shehu is a member of Nigeria Muslim Forum and a Patron of Africa Health Development Trust (UK).

 

Dr Falalu Danwata

Dr Danwata is an oncologist at the Rosemere Cancer Centre in Preston, Lancashire. He has previously served on the executive committee of the NMFUK .

 

Alhaji Abba Mohammed Bashir Shuwa

Alh. Abba is a government relations professional based
in Leeds , UK. He is also cur-rently a Senior Special Assis-tant to the Governor of Borno State, Nigeria. He chaired the organising committee of of highly successful Leicester conference in 2012.

 

Alhaji Garba Sani 

Alhaji Garba is a funding member of the NMFUK and has since been passionate about the forum activities. Currently the deputy Amir of Council of Nigeria Muslim Organisations (CNMO) in the UK. An umbrella body of all Nigerian Muslim Organisations in the UK. A Chartered Certified Accountant and is married with six children.

 

Dr Bukar Wobi 

Dr Bukar Wobii is an NHS consultant with a special inter-est in renal medicine and a senior clinical educator with 2 UK medical schools. He is also a Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Educational Supervisor as well as a professional advisor to the Local Safeguarding Board. Dr Bukar Wobi is also active in the community and is involved in da awah and interfaith dialogues .He has a strong interest in the enhancement of emerging Muslim communities and is an advocate of good gov-ernance in Nigeria.

Dr Dahiru Garkuwa  

Dr  Garkuwa  is  a  surgeon  at South  Tyneside  General  Hos-pital  in  the Northeast of  Eng-land.  He  has  a  longstanding interest  in  charitable  work having  been  involved  in  the provision  of  free  healthcare to the rural poor in Nigeria.
